Mid-ETRM Java Developer

Founded in 2013, ROITI is a boutique energy trading and risk management (ETRM) consulting company with expertise in the power, gas, oil, coal and freight, emissions, and financial markets. We are working with leading ETRM IT solutions for some of the biggest energy companies in Europe.

We are looking for a Mid-ETRM Java Developer/Consultant who will work with our clients to provide advisory, build, implementation, and maintenance services to leading players in the energy market.  The ideal candidate is a combination of good development skills and an interest in the energy trading sector.

The position generally includes around 20-30% of business analysis work (definition of products, processes, and requirements within the customer business; analysis of system functionality; solution design within existing software or of new solutions; software configuration).

Candidate Profile:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• “Impossible is nothing” attitude
• Interest in the Energy business is a great advantage
• Good Java understanding (OOP, data structures, inheritance, algorithms, etc.)
• Good SQL database knowledge (Oracle is a plus)
• Interest in learning additional technologies
• Good English is required (German is a big plus)
• Willing to travel up to once a month
